THE FACILITIES consist of a large pine-floored hall bordered at one end by the chancel, a carpeted area with domed ceiling and stained glass windows, makes a perfect setting for a sit down meal, buffet or barn dance. There is a carpeted side room, off the main hall, for older guests or children, or a retreat for anyone else who requires one. At the back of the hall is a counter which serves as a bar area. A double sink and work surfaces nearby offer a cleaning up space for the bar staff.
There is a large kitchen approved for catering by the City Council Environmental Health Department, with deep stainless steel sinks, stainless steel work units and a small fridge and freezer. The four-burner cooker with hotplate is adequate for small scale hot food preparation.
OTHER FEATURES OF THE CENTRE
There are two other buildings which make up the Elmgrove Centre site, one is used as a soft play room for children aged up to 7 (the Rumpus Room), and the other is a smaller hall with pine floor and kitchen (not suitable for catering purposes). Both can be hired in addition to the Large Hall if required.
OUTSIDE
The buildings are surrounded by a small garden consisting of a wooded slope, a woodchip path leading round the large hall
